Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to hire a vehicle?

We need to see all of the following documentation at the time of hire:

Driver's Licence. A current full driver's licence held for a minimum of 12 months (endorsements permitting). If you have the new 2-part photocard licence, we must see both the paper part, which shows the endorsements and vehicle categories, as well as the card part, which contains your photograph.

Two forms of identification. These must show a local area address eg recent utilities bills, bank or building society statements, dated within the last 6 weeks. A passport is not acceptable as it does not contain your address.

Credit or debit card. This will be required for the deposit and the hire charge, which will be taken at the time of hire. Please make sure there is enough credit available on your card. Card holder is required to be present.

If card holder is not the hirer, photo I.D. for the card holder is required!

How old do I have to be?

For van hire you must be aged between 21 and 70.

What if I'm over 70?

We can probably still hire you a vehicle, but this will be subject to acceptance from our insurer'e via a referral, you may also arrange your own fully-comprehensive insurance but you must bring it with you at the time of hire. To avoid disappointment, we would strongly advise you to call us well in advance for more information.

What does the price include?

The prices we show, or quote, are fully inclusive of VAT, comprehensive insurance, and 24 hour breakdown cover.

What is the fuel policy?

We ask you to return the vehicle to us at the same level as when you collected, or you will be charged for any shortfall. We will not reimburse you for any excess fuel left in the vehicle.

What are the hire times?

The hire period is for 24 hours as from 08.30am to 08.30am, a 17.00pm to 17.00 pm is possible but is dependant on availability.

Can I extend the hire period?

In most cases it is possible to extend the hire period - but please let us know as soon as you know that you will need to extend. We pride ourselves that we never let down a hirer so, if there is a prior booking we may not be able to extend the hire period.

Is there a charge if i need to cancel a booking?

You can cancel a booking without charge providing you give us at least 24 hours notice. If you cancel within 24 hours, You will be charged a £25 cancelation fee.
